The great new Rogue shirts.

The shirts are available in short or long sleeve options and in three colour choices.

The colours available are khaki, olive or taupe (a chocolate colour).

The Rogue long sleeve shirt is known as the “Livingstone”. It has tabs and a button on each sleeve so that the sleeves can be secured rolled up.  It also has a unique “three-way” collar.  These are

1.  The normal position – standard for all shirt collars.

2. The mid position – so that the neck can be protected from sun, rain or wind.

3. The full-up position giving total protection for the full neck, right up to the hair-line.  This gives total protection of the neck when the shirt is worn with a Rogue hat!

A well loved, well used Leather Rogue Ranger hat!

The Rogue Ranger hat has to be in this group – it is one of the oldest of the Rogue styles, and still outsells new rivals to the range.  This hat is fullgrain leather and is most popular in oxblood colour.  It has a chinstrap and contrasting fly-band.  A great all-round hat fo general outdoor wear and for taking on holiday!  As it is leather it is water resistant – so useful for those early summer and autumn breaks.  The hat has just had a great review in Scotland Outdoors magazine. Rogue bags, hats and boots

After arriving at Hlane Game Reserve in Swaziland we waited for sunset in the traditional way!  Rogue bag in use to carry essentials, Each of us wearing a different style of Rogue boots and the trusty Rogue hats.

We watched the sun set at Hlane overlooking a waterpan.  The only thing between us and the animals was a thin  strand of electric fence.  Ostrich, hippo and elephant were all seen by us in the 30 minutes before the sun set.

The sunset was absolutely beautiful with the sky an ochre colour and silhouettes filling the horizon.

The next morning we were again testing the Rogue gear this time on a bush walk.  Single file, no talking and silent footsteps were the order of the day….

We walked quietly to a waterhole and were able to see a huge variety of game going about their daily routine.  Two huge crocs were sunning themselves on the waters edge – presumably not hungry as several geese swam perilously close to them!

Christmas Trees in supermarket in South Africa in JULY!

Rogue boots, Rogue hats, Rogue bags (all available from us at Kendrick Imports in the UK) are all run of the mill here in Africa but not full-blown Christmas decorations in July!  It is winter here in SA – and yes it does get a bit chilly (19 degrees C one day last week!) – but Christmas Trees in the supermarket takes some understanding.

Having paid for all the groceries (and that’s another story with some-one to take your groceries out of the trolley and someone else to pack your bags) – we pushed the trolley out to the car when there in front of us was the answer!
